Making Money on Social Media

Hey Reader,

People believe that simply growing an audience on social media means you make a livable wage.

This is far from the truth.

If I had a $1 from every follower that I had, I'd leave my day job. (that'd be nice)

Social media is what is called your "top of funnel"

And the only way you're ever going to make money from social media, is to funnel your audience down to a group of people who are willing, and waiting, to buy from you.

Here's a diagram I pulled from online to illustrate

Your top of funnel is expected to be large, but then as you go further down, that number decreases.

Here are my numbers:

Top of funnel: 149k

Middle: ( my owned audience - you, my friend): 981

Bottom of funnel: (anyone who's bought anything from me, ever): 93

So, no, not everyone with a high follower count makes a livable wage from it. In fact, most content creators with high follower counts make NO money.

Or if they do, it's not consistent.

Guess what, I am one of those creators.

You heard it right, I don't make a lot of money doing this. And when I started out, I had no expectations of doing just that.

But, that's going to change.

Because my goal, like many others, is to earn a living as a creator.

And You, my friend, are going to join in on this journey with me.

What I learn, you learn, for free.

What I fail at, I tell you so you don't make the same mistake.

What I win at, I tell you so you can learn faster and reach your goals sooner.

Seem like a fair deal?

Good.

Because when I started, I wish I knew what this funnel was.

I wish I knew that converting followers to paid customers is difficult.

I also wish I knew that you don't need 100K+ followers to monetize, that you can start monetizing day 1.

If you have 100 followers, you could earn $200 this week if you have the right stuff in place.

If you have 3,000 followers, you could earn $100,000 in a year.

Yeah, I know someone who did that.

It's not impossible.
